1. How can I get a job or be selected through Mundo Talent?

If you receive an invitation to join Mundo Talent, you will be hired through this company. In our agency, you will have the possibility of applying for various vacancies to work directly with one of Mundo Talent’s clients. When you are hired through the Agency, the companies will pay the Agency for your services, and the Agency will be in charge of paying you. Remuneration, payment terms and the hiring process will be coordinated between you and Mundo Talent. Once you are hired, job details, guidelines, and communication about your daily tasks will be handled directly with the client.

We will send your payment directly to you through Mundo Talent. The alternatives depend on your country, but in summary, the options we offer include Payoneer, Uphold, Veem and PayPal.

At Mundo Talent, all professionals who work virtually receive their remuneration biweekly.

Mundo Talent will be responsible for remunerating all Virtual Professionals for the services they offer to our agency’s clients.

That’s right! Joining the Mundo Talent community is free of charge. Our main goal is to expand our network of Latinos who want to work from their home country and increase their income by taking advantage of their valuable skills.

Yes, this opportunity is genuine, although we cannot guarantee that you will get a job. Hiring through our portal depends on your skills, what employers are looking for, your experience, and how you compare to other candidates.

We have worked to help thousands of Latinos in Peru, Mexico, Central and South America find employment in companies in the United States, Europe, Australia, and other places around the world.

Our mission is to offer you the possibility and flexibility to work from home in your country. Mundo Talent is the first platform and agency dedicated to virtual assistants that supports Latinos in their search for employment abroad. This is only possible if we provide you with real opportunities that help you generate significant income.

You can work from the comfort of your home, your home office, an internet coffe or a coworking space in the city where you live. The choice of location is yours, as long as you have the client’s approval.

We suggest you focus on those positions for which you are really well qualified or where most of your skills align with what is mentioned in the job posting. Don’t waste time applying for jobs that don’t suit your capabilities.

That varies depending on your skills, your previous experience, your portfolio, how complete your profile is on Mundo Talent, how willing companies are to pay you, and other things. This guide will give you a general idea:

How to register and become part of the Mundo Talent community.

1. What requirements are needed to work as an assistant?

You must have English reading, writing and speaking skills. To validate your level, you will need to pass an English exam with a minimum score of 61 points (level C1).

In addition, you are required to have previous work experience or verifiable skills, a computer with an Internet connection, a bank account in your country of origin and be over 18 years old to be able to work legally.

You don’t need to have a perfect command of English, but a good level of reading and writing skills is essential. Ideally, you should also have a solid ability to speak English.

Most employers on our platform come from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom or Australia. Please note that communication will be conducted in English, so if you find it difficult to understand or communicate, it could complicate your performance at work.

In order to join our community as a professional or virtual assistant, we will need you to provide us with your complete personal information. This includes your full legal name, detailed address (street, neighborhood, city, state, country, and zip code), email, date of birth, mobile phone number, and gender.

In addition, we will require details about your previous work experience, current employment status, availability, and educational background (including college degree and institution name). You will also need to submit your resume, your LinkedIn profile URL, as well as any personal blogs or websites you have. If you have a portfolio, you will need to attach a copy. We will also ask for two letters of recommendation from previous jobs (or academic if you have had no work experience) and two professional references. We will also ask you several specific questions about your background as an assistant, marketer, designer, or salesperson, as well as any related experience supporting companies with their sales, marketing, and administrative tasks.

A college degree is not required to apply. However, it is worth mentioning that around 90% of the members we accept into our community have a four-year college degree.

If you do not have a college degree, you can still apply to join our community as long as you have previous work experience and demonstrable skills in the various service areas we offer to companies looking to hire someone from Mundo Talent. These areas include general administrative skills, sales, digital marketing, graphic design, web development, content writing, and other related fields.

Yes, you can apply, but only if you have at least 20 hours a week to work. We do not recommend that those who already have a full-time job apply to Mundo Talent, as they likely do not have enough time to dedicate themselves to another company during regular business hours (in US business hours).

If you are currently working part-time (which usually means around 20 hours a week), you should definitely consider joining Mundo Talent. This will allow you to generate additional income by working for another company that may hire you from abroad and will likely offer you higher compensation than what you receive at home.

Yes, at some point in the recruitment process, you will have an interview.

Interview with the recruiting team

  • We want to learn more about you. A member of our recruiting team will schedule a one-on-one meeting to ask you some questions about yourself and your career path.

Interview with a potential client

  • If you are selected by one of our clients, you will participate in an interview involving three people: the client and a member of the recruiting team. This meeting will be led by the client.

Approximately 5% of applicants are accepted and invited to join our Mundo Talent Community, while only 1% to 2% are hired through our Mundo Talent Agency program.

The Mundo Talent team conducts a manual review of each application and strives to ensure that the information provided is accurate. On many occasions, we will contact you to clarify any questions we have about your resume or background. We may also ask you for additional proof of what you have indicated.

Each candidate is interviewed via video chat to verify that they actually possess the skills, experience, and knowledge they mention in their application. Our team will likely ask you for additional information to support your work experience and competencies.

If you lie and this is discovered, you will be immediately disqualified and will not be able to apply to join our community. Additionally, if you have already been accepted into our program and we find that you have falsified information or lack the skills you claimed to have, you will be expelled from our community.

We take dishonesty very seriously and strongly recommend that you DO NOT claim to have a skill or experience unless you can prove it (either through a live interview, documentation, or by showing successfully completed work).

Yes, you can apply to join Mundo Talent even if you are not originally from Latin America, as long as you speak English and reside in the region.

Companies seeking talent through Mundo Talent are interested in hiring individuals who can work during regular US business hours (which spans four time zones) or who are bilingual in English and Spanish, or English and Portuguese. While we do not require all applicants to be bilingual, currently 100% of our virtual assistants are fluent in both English and Spanish or Portuguese.

Sure, if you have Latin roots and reside in a country that is not part of Latin America, you also have the opportunity to apply. Just keep in mind that those looking to hire you will likely want you to be available during typical U.S. business hours, which span from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., spread across four time zones.
